A New Way to Save

The other day, I was talking to my sister about some of the amazing deals I had recently indulged in. I got this and this free, I only paid $1 for such and such, etc. Bargain Specialists like to brag about their latest conquest. But she proceeded to tell me about a new way to save that I previously knew nothing about. She schooled me on two apps that she uses because she hasn’t gotten around to getting a Sunday paper subscription.

Enter Ibotta and Cartwheel!

Ibotta is an app that will allow you to peruse different stores for deals and unlock different products that you are going to buy. Once unlocked, go to the store, buy the item. Come home, scan the item and send in a picture of your receipt. Simple! The coupon value will be added to your account. You don’t have to worry about any coupon policy. Use your regular coupons in store and then go home and use this ‘coupon’ too. Stack your savings in unconventional ways. One added benefit is that this app allows money back on items that you normally couldn’t coupon on – items like eggs, milk, veggies and fruit. And even better, they give you a $10 credit after your first submission.

Cartwheel is an app for Target lovers. It is specific to this store but offers additional savings. Like Ibotta, scan through looking for items you intend to buy and add them to your account. At checkout, give your coupons as normal. When done, scan your app specific account barcode. Savings will reflect on your receipt. Even simpler!

Just a couple of minutes scrolling through these apps could save you even more money than you were going to with just your coupon binder. Your money is yours. Use these simple tips to keep your hard earned money in your bank account without sacrificing items you need and sometimes just want. Bargain Specialists are never satisfied.
